1999, zwei Jahre bevor sie starb, erzählte meine Großmutter Olga meiner Familie und mir Geschichten aus ihrem Leben als junges Mädchen und Frau auf dem Land in Tirol um 1920. Zwei dieser Geschichten sind animiert in „Gugug“. In der ersten Geschichte spricht Olga über ihre Ahnungslosigkeit gegenüber dem Kinderbekommen. Der zweite Teil handelt vom Kinderkriegen und vom Kindstod und Tod und den Lebensbedingungen rundherum.

In 1999, two years before she died, my grandmother Olga told me and my family stories about her life as a young girl and woman in the Tyrolean countryside around 1920. Two of these stories are animated in „Gugug“. In the first story Olga talks about her childhood thoughts on pregnancy and how women have babies. The second part is about having babies, infant death and death and the conditions of life surrounding it.
